[PEN-L:29955] Patrick Bond on J. B. Foster
Patrick's post bounced:
John Bellamy Foster, coeditor of Monthly Review, was laughing with me a
few
seconds ago about ignoring class. He's on the way to a tutorial on
eco-socialism with the most revolutionary trade unionists in South
Africa in
a couple of minutes. Let's see what happens when he reports back later
tonight.
He ripped the hell out of the International Forum on Globalization
"localists". These folk put on a teach-in at our university this
weekend,
just prior to our -- including John -- being fired on with stun grenades
by
the SA Police Service in defense of Thabo Mbeki's neoliberalism.
So let's stop fighting amongst ourselves, comrades, on purity of line.
Let's
get with the red-green struggles. They're breaking out all over this
week in
Jo'burg.
