This has some connection with the terms of trade argument at the earth summit, and it seems to me with the sort of decision between Russia and China to settle their accounts in bilateral exchanges between their central banks rather than in dollars. Chris Burford
I have no idea what settling accounts in yuans has to do with Che Guevara.
We seem to be at cross purposes, perhaps because we believe our purposes are very different. But the passage Louis Proyect quoted from Guevara referred to terms of trade and settling accounts between Comecon countries. As terms of trade is an important issue at the Johannesburg summit, it is a stretch, but pehaps an instructive stretch.
Guevara's revolutionary spirit is not in dispute, but he also took the trouble in this passage at least to talk about terms of trade.
