This is just Ulhas's way of reformulating Edward Said. Asia can only be
understood completely by Asians, not the prying and intrusive Marxists of
the west. In fact, Ulhas's notions of a revolutionary bourgeoisie in India
were almost identical to those put forward by Julio Huato on Marxmail and
Pen-l (briefly). Unlike Ulhas, Julio not only welcomed debate over his
support of NAFTA, but had the temerity to talk about USA politics. That, of
course, is what we need, not finger-wagging over violating somebody's turf.
