Sort of. Newtonian mechanics is a limit case of special relativity if
spacetime is flat and velocities are well below the speed of light.
Einstein's reasoning was informed more by Machian proto-positivism
(empiriocriticsim to you) than by anything that looks like dialectics.

Well, maybe the development of an old insight in a new way is worth doing. I
don't say that Irigiray has done it. I rather doubt it.
