No Africans compensated in US embassy bombings
No Africans will be compensated by the US government for the 1998 US
embassy bombings in Nairobi and Dar. More than 220 people died in the near
simultaneous bomb blasts in Kenya and Tanzania. A new law approved by the
US House (391 to 18) allows compensation for US victims of terrorist
bombings only.
