I agree with everything you said. There is no privacy in rural
Anatolia either. Well, at least, there was not one when I was a
small kid spending his summers in a small village. Those were the
happy days. But most of these Americans don't know that there is
no privacy in this credit capitalist society. They think there
is.

By the way, the word privacy does not exist in Turkish, unless
they invented one recently. There are some words that can be used
as loose translations, depending on the context.
