PeopleSoft is bleeding the Calif. State University system. Huge contract.
I think that it may be $300 or $400 mill. I have repeatedly tried to get
Tim Bousquet on the story. Fortunatly, the state legislature is
investigating.
The farce began when one campus contracted to have one of its units work
with the pirates. Someone suggested that they rework the whole campus
data structure. Then someone even stupider suggested that they do the
entire system. No bidding, just shovelling of funds.
Last time this happened, Nathan Newman helped us get legislative hearings
to stop the nonsense. Come back home, Nathan.
