CNN was reporting rumours from the "middle class " suburbs that people were
going to leave. This means that even before their departure there will be
an accelerated flight of capital.

The USA will be glad to exacerbate this capital flight unless Chavez does
everything to emphasise national unity, and then they will still hold him
to ransom, through the IMF.

That is why Gordon Brown's plan for a global Marshall Aid plan is more
progressive for democratic forces in less powerful countries, than Bush's
policies. (Still of course imperialist.)
