Attempts to use the Modest Proposal as a model for satire never succeed
-- the original prose echoes too strongly in the mind and makes the pale
imitation (no matter how honorable the content) almost impossible to
read. :-)

It is no accident that Swiftian irony has the generic name of --
Swiftian irony.
