Ralph Nader is not a leftist. I doubt that he would call himself a
leftist. Is much more in line with the old populists, who believe in the
theory of Adam Smith, but thought that the state was required to eliminate
monopoly forces so that competition could work.
At the same time, he is realistic enough to know that markets have
externalities, which require regulations.
