Rats in the Grain -- again

As you might know, Gene Coyle and I are fans of this book, that just
came out in a second edition. Here is a review by one of the principles
in the book.

?Rats In The Grain?

James B. Lieber, Author

The Book The Government Didn?t Want Printed

Rats in the Grain is a hard-hitting and provocative view of the most
infamous case of corporate fraud and conspiracy of the latter half of
the twentieth century. It
is the story of corporate capitalism run amuck. Lieber exposes the U.S.
Justice Department's cooperation with Archer Daniels Midland lawyers to
suppress the
truth and send the whistleblower and cooperating witness Dr. Mark E.
Whitacre to prison for nine years.

Since the book?s publication Lieber has been blocked from appearing on
national television and radio shows due to the book?s contents. In the
book he documents the relationships between ADM?s board of directors,
ADM?s lawyers Williams & Connolly, the U.S. Justice Department, and
the New York Times, who all conspired together to contain the story and
cover up ADM?s crimes that would shock any citizen or shareholder.

Reactions by those who have read the book vary from disbelief and anger
to shock that our government not only condoned these illegal
activities but also punished and harassed those who wanted and worked to
expose them.

This book must be read by all Americans to educate themselves to the
power and corruption of special interests. Karl Marx said, ?In the
valley
of the blind with one eye you can be king.? Don?t deny yourself the
knowledge of the truth. Buy this book not only for yourself but also
for your
friends and relatives. If the truth about ADM had been published in the
newspapers as Lieber documents in his book, maybe the Enron Empire
would not have been built which has destroyed so many lives. The
paperback, which is now available on Amazon.com or can be purchased and
ordered at bookstores, will be your greatest investment in understanding
the state of the nation. Lieber addresses the many unanswered
questions about why Elian Gonzalez was taken in the manner he was and
ADM?s role in returning him to Cuba. Also documented is how four
Federal judges in the State of Illinois gave special favors to ADM and
some of its executives, proving that justice is for sale.

Richard L. Evans said, ?The arm of the law is only as long as the
alertness of its citizens.? Rats in the Grain gives warning that the
power of
corporate predators such as ADM is undermining the American way of life
and our justice system.

The Washington elite and the silent government seal court documents to
deprive the American people of the truth.

Beware! The servants of democracy have become fearful masters!
