Colombia
So it looks as if the US is about to jump with with both feet in the war
against the FARC in Colombia. It's a classic case of overdetermination,
i.e., that there's no single cause: it's (1) part of the "war against
terrorism" (i.e., the battle to establish the US as the world state) since
allegedly the FARC -- already labeled "terrorist" -- is allied with Libya
[*]; (2) to defend Occidental Petroleum's pipeline there; (3) to link the
"war against terrorism" to the "war on drugs" since the FARC has been linked
to the cocaine trade; and (4) to fight radical nationalism.
[*] BTW, Libya is also a US ally in the war against terrorism, since these
days all the government does is to suppress its own people (which is okay
with the US power elite).
BTW2, I see that Jonas Savimbi died. He will not be missed.
