Of course, in this sense, an awful lot of people who hold down jobs as
science professors (for example Richard Dawkins) would be classified as
"cognitively religious" :-)

CB: Since natural scientists have already borrowed the term "law" from jurisprudence as one of their most important concepts, perhaps biologists and physicists would like to borrow "rebuttable presumption " too. An ex posterieri rebuttable presumption: that's what a scientific law or axiom is.
