DEARBORN -- Ford Motor Co.'s Board of Directors today is expected to consider a sweeping restructuring plan that will include closing three North American assembly plants by 2003, eliminating 17,000 full-time jobs, sharply reducing contract workers and taking an estimated $4-billion charge against earnings. 01/09/02
