Yes it is wiser for one's own sake to give the benefit of the doubt on the
interent until a weakness is clearly established. But rather than hope that
the spat has not happened I would suggest trying to analyse the underlying
contradiction. Then address it as the problem. Otherwise the intensity of
the personal polarization obscures the analysis.

But there was and still is, a contradiction, which of course has its roots
in objective reality with its partial and imperfect reflection only, in
individuals' minds.
