ON POINT 2, the proverb goes "every comaprison is
lame"
class formation in the periphery is quite different.
although latin america may be different because of its
early independence and a genuine rise of a national
burgeoisie, this in the M east and africa did not
happen. the buzz word of french sociologist is
disarticulation, that is to say, the working class
rejects any class ties and aodpts tribe ties because
the crisis is very very severe.
