Jim,

J18 is the short for June 18, 1999. Take a look at this webpage:

If I am not wrong, Chuck Munson, that is, Chuck0, put that page together.
There are many links to other J18 related websites there. It was the second
globally coordinated day of action against capitalism. The first one was May
18, 1998. But J18 was the first time a short hand like this was used for the
day. By the looks of it, we are about to run out of letters and numbers to
label such days, so maybe it is time to consider what to do next more
seriously.
