This flap about Bush in the WH surprises me. It's been in the media too. It's tantamount to saying that if you're in a foxhole, you are a wimp if you keep your head down.
When B was in FL, planes had not been accounted for, and the plane that crashed in PA was headed straight for D.C. It would have been positively idiotic to head right back to Washington.
I agree it would likely have been stupid for the Prez to fly back to the White House. But there have been criticisms, among the media. Given other evidence (about the Pentagon dive-bombing), it looks as if the WH-as-target theory was cooked up to deflect those criticisms. I don't think the WH has presented any evidence for their theory.
Max, there's a rumor that you secretly work at (and for) the Pentagon. Is this true? Were you safe?
