   Heh, Macdonald, then the ANC and SACP called for sanctions against
apartheid South Africa, was that , "rank opportunism, " too?
  Sanctions regime has killed half a million, yes, but, if you look at
scholarship on Iraq, like the works of the exiled Iraqi ex-Trotskyist Samir
al-Khalil aka Kenan Makiya, in, "Republic of Fear, " there in that book, is
a detailed blow by blow acct. of the tangled relationship of the Ba'athist
Party and the Iraqi Communist Party. I'd trust their judgements, or Makiya's
over any outsider.
