When Nigerian asylum seekers are sent back to Nigeria, they are immediately
handed to the police. This police force, especially the feared Mobile
Police, are well known for horrifying acts of brutality and murder.
The US Dept. of State have confirmed that Nigeria's police and security
forces are committing "extra judicial" murders and are carrying out
excessive force to stamp down on any civil unrest under the Obasanjo
government.
They are well known for collecting bribes too.
The Irish government should review their position on repatriating asylum
seekers to Nigeria.
