in the wake of Allende's overthrow, I've heard, "los Chicago Boys"
(including Sebastian Edwards?), and a lot of the rightward part of the
political spectrum embraced the most rigid (Chicagoan) version of
traditional economic theory with a religious fervor seldom seen. Of course,
that was just prelude to that religion taking over the World Bank, IMF, US
Treasury, etc.

I'm feeling queasy, since not only is my mother's maiden name "Edwards,"
but originally I'm a Chicagoan. It's time for 500 hail Marys and 500 our
Fathers...
