re: JD layoffs
Ironically, law school applications are on the rise - the New York Times is
reporting a 20% increase in LSAT takers. Of course, hiding out in graduate
school for a few years would appear to make a lot more sense today. On the
other hand, I am inclined to call a "bottom" to the market now that the law
firms are laying off - just as I thought we had reached the top when I saw
Yale Law classmates of mine leave very good paying jobs at top tier law
firms to try to sell dog food and pantyhose on the internet.
(Btw, Ian, I am NOT the Steve Diamond who wrote an article on autopoeisis
(sic?) - I try to stick to studying the hard core reality of fictitious
capital.)
