Louis Proyect <lnp3@xxxxxxxxx>:
Actually, Cardenas's party--which your interviewee tonight described as moribund--is very much in sync with Julio Huato. One supposes that its embrace of NAFTA, as opposed to the romantic Chiapas unabomber-type resistance to the imperialist penetration of Mexico, might have something to do with its fortunes. If you are going to back neoliberalism, you might as well not fool around with half-assed measures but go for the real thing: Vicente Fox.
Unfortunately, the PRD may be more in sync with Louis Proyect than with me. In any case, I am not a member of the PRD. I have never been. I have been critical of the PRD and its political ancestry throughout my conscious political life. I just don't deny what I think they do right. _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com.
