Actually I supplied historical and economic data on Mexico and South
Africa. You can lead a horse to water but...

Okay, let me clarify it. Capitalism in Mexico and South Africa begins with
dragooning indigenous peoples into digging ore from the bowels of the
earth.

Yeah, last night I was reading Ronaldo Munck's article on dependency
theory in the Chilcote collection. The Mexican CP absolutely hated Frank
and company. In reality, what they hated was Che Guevara and the Cuban
revolution. No, let me take that back. What they really hated was the
notion of proletarian revolution. The SACP and the Mexican CP are
basically reformist outfits and if fundamental change comes to those
countries, it will linked to forces to the left like the Zapatista
movement or the constellation of left intellectuals and trade unionists
Patrick Bond is involved with.
