Well, as your post is such a nice one, I shan't take exception to your rather
ungenerous reading of some admittedly vague chatter. I was actually alluding
to that stuff Marx says happens behind our backs under capitalism, not human
essence at all. My humanism is of a more modestly practical (and less
mystical) variety. But I'm with you on the varied theoretical perspectives
thing in a big way.
