Now the IMF might become a "world Fed," managing the world's money...
The problem is how to keep it sane and accountable. I believe in
central bank independence. But I'm terrified that a
world-money-directing IMF would be like the Bundesbank or the Bank of
Japan, rather than like the U.S. Federal Reserve...
