Chemical Secrecy Again

Andrew Hagen wrote last night about
Moyers's expose of the chemical
industry.

I was shocked at how ineffectual the
chemical industry's representatives
were. Also, when one complained, Moyers
said, "investigative journalism is not a
collaboration with the subjects."

But then, we read in the paper of
record:

Citing national security, the
Environmental Protection Agency earlier
this month rescinded a Clinton
administration proposal to increase
public access to information about the
potential consequences of chemical plant
accidents.
