Quickly and roughly GDP in 1998 did not recover its
1988 values in all 3 countries, and sadly, suicide is
a major catstrophy in all ex-socialist countries, but
the figures for the baltics suicides are over 100
(about 130) in 100,000 population, trebled in this
period. I was actually surprised to see the economic
figures because of their proximity to Scandinvia, but
not with the suicide rates since historically they
topped the lists.
