Schrub's appointments
with my memory failing (not remembering who Linda Chavez was -- yuk!!) and
my curiosity piqued, I looked up George W.'s appointments to his Cabinet.
First, we see that there's a sign of continuity between the Clinton and
Bush2 administrations: Norman Mineta has moved over (down?) from Commerce
to Transportation. Then there's Spencer Abraham, who seems (surprise!) to
be a pro-oil man for Energy. And of course, the anti-affirmative action
Chavez for Labor.
One thing I found in the Yahoo news was: >For CIA [Director of Central
Intelligence], Bush could keep current CIA Director George Tenet, or give
the job to former Democratic Rep. Lee Hamilton of Indiana, who also is a
contender for the U.N. position.< I never thought of those two posts as
interchangeable, though I should have.
