Was the Ottawa water supply privatised? Do you have a reference on this? Are
you thinking of the Walkerton Ontario ecoli debacle? This involved
privatisation of testing and cutbacks in government regulatory agencies and
that sort of thing but also incompetent local officials and hiring cheap but
incompetent people to save money.
