Re: spooks act against Venezuela - as Chavez Seeks Unions Destruction

And how retro do you have to be to still be labelling groups based on Cold
War stereotypes. The ICFTU may have been part of the Cold War divide but it
now also includes a range of unions from around the world from a range of
economic and political perspectives, from COSATU to the muslim-based union
federation in Turkey.
Why is it that a high-five from Fidel to Chavez suddenly makes the wholesale
suppression of independent unions in Venezuala acceptable to some leftists?
(((((((((((((
CB: The notion of "independent" unions is anti-communist terminology and , with due respect, Cold War/retro.
Following the incredibly traiterous record of many Western trade unions and federations in the last 55 years of struggle against capitalism , the workers of the world have no reason to trust trade unions more than a Chavez government, since the latter at least has clean hands from the Cold War and gives some indications of building a new way to attack capitalism. Yes, a high five from Fidel is worth a hell of a lot more than the opinion of collaborationist international traitor trade union confederations.

The ICFTU would be betraying its own principles and the principles of the
ILO not to be dencouncing this anti-union assault by Chavez.
((((((((((
CB; As far as we know, these federations "principles" are collaborationism, i. e. anti-principles.
