I concur with Brad. I can't fathom Justin on these issues. Of course the
record of the Red Army in Afghanistan is not pristine but how is it any
worse than the many opposition forces; and how can these issues even be
considered independent of the context of Western involvement and extensive
support for the Taliban and other opposition forces?
There is just no comparison between the relatively progressive nature of the
various communist regimes and that of the Taliban, as even Brad is willing
to admit. Justin thinks he can trot out as reference to supporters of the
Red Army in Afghanistan as if this is a closed issue.
