Again, is their any evidence for the increases in the bottom quintiles in China?
We don't know what's going on in the interior of China. My *guess* is that there have been little gains in productivity or incomes since the mid-1980s, and that's one of the main things driving migration to the coast.
But, as I said, I don't think we know...
