Re: Great, new, simple introduction to Marx
Interesting formulation from the table of contents:
an economy of firms that are held accountable for
their use of labor, not for profit
Interesting connections too. I see he is talking about the book at the
"Niebyl-Proctor Marxist Library" on Sat 23rd Sept. The Library states
>>
Karl Niebyl was a professor of economics who escaped from Nazi Germany and
taught for the rest
of his life in various North American universities. His last post
was at San Jose State.

I see Charles Andrews is also author of
Profit Fever: The Drive to Corporatize Health Care and How to Stop It
1995 150pp Common Courage Press.
"Where are we to turn for good health care? In a concise history
of the issue, Charles Andrews reviews the successful attempts by
the health care industry to profit from people's ill health and the
opposing struggles to create a more just system.
Profit Fever explains how profit has shaped health care, the real
story behind the Canadian health system and how to better
organize for health care justice."
