The Argentinian Junta has never been an _ally_ of the imperialists,
Brad. They were your dutiful employees, the ones who cleared the way
for you and your ilk to transform Argentina into an economic gulag.

They were not my allies, either...

I thought you who believed that the Galtieri who launched the War Over the Malvinas was more progressive than his successors who restored democracy to Argentina. I thought it was you who wrote that:

the arena of the Foreign Debt, he had to cleanse the Army of

turn to our foreign policy, siding with Castro and other progressive
regimes that were supporting us in the effort. That is why Galtieri
was overthrown by the truly reactionary (though formally
"democratic") generals Bignone and Liendo...
