Not at all. I guess I believe in some sort of division of labor, with
people doing what they're best at. I find anti-intellectualism in the
name of activism and popular democracy to be pretty offensive,
though. Marx, Trotsky, and Gramsci would have agreed. Harold Bloom,
of all people, was on C-SPAN the last Sunday quoting Trotsky on the
beauties of Dante.
