Communism is about democracy, political as well as economic. With rare
exceptions, everything that Marx and Engels wrote was imbued with the
spirit of compassion for and identification with working people. I had no
idea that the kind of garbage about "Orientals" was in the passage cited
here. But it does seem troublesome right off the bat that it was there when
I looked. Between the Communist Manifesto and J.S. Mill is a vast ocean of
class differences. I am sorry you can not see that.
