liquidation

Your remember Hoover?s famous line: Mr. Mellon had only one formula:
'Liquidate stocks, liquidate the farmers, liquidate real estate'.

If a bunch of day traders get wiped out, do you think that the targets
of liquidation might become more extensive?  I'm thinking of the fellow
in Atlanta and the other one tried to throw his wife off the balcony.
