When I was in high school in San Diego in the early 1960's a film called
"Communism On The Map," was required viewing in all civics classes (I don't
remember if it was produced by the U.S. State Department or the John Birch
Society). This film was suppose to prove that the West was being encircled by
the Communist Empire. Aftering seeing it I distinctly remember think, "Gee, it
looks more like we have them surrounded than the other way around."
