Jim B., I still don't understand your insistance that nothing important in
Europe was different. Where does this lead. Europe was behind the rest of
the world in every aspect? Europe was the same as the rest of the world in
every aspect? The whole world was exactly the same?
I can understand your argument on the growth of capitalism in
Europe--financed and stimulated by gold from the Americas (even if I don't
agree with it.) But I don't understand your insistance that Europe
contributed nothing to the mix.
