[PEN-L:9724] crass commercialism
I know that the following doesn't really belong on pen-l, but it's summer
and the postings are few.
I have had very good luck with my Palm III handheld computer. Among other
things, it's extremely simple. The system is much more like DOS or simple
UNIX and therefore doesn't have all the overhead that Windows has. Better,
the operating system doesn't melt down regularly, the way Windows does.
My Palm III broke -- but they sent me a new one two days after I sent my
complaint via e-mail. (I now have to send back the old one.)
I hope Bill Gates never gets ahold of these people!
