[PEN-L:9627] RE: US Gears Up

I smell another "Lord of the Second Advent" or "Perfect Father" like Sun
Myung Moon. Under the banner of "freedom of religion" the Moonies have been
involved in material support of all sorts of neo-fascist cults and support
of wanted nazi war criminals. They use all sorts of mind control techniques
to hook the lonely, the desperate, the demagogic, the power hungry etc to
build empires of neo-fascism. I smell the same thing here. Plus the known
CIA ties of the Moonies and ties to the Bush family (see
http://www.delve.com/moon1.html)-- fact see the whole Consortium Series on
the Moonies to see what these cults do and are about--show that these cults
are anything but "apolitical".

Again we get the Imperial U.S. daring to lecture anyone about "freedom". It
is absolutely nauseating.

I read about one person who was a member of this Falun Gong cult who ripped
his stomach open with a knife looking for "the Wheel of Energy". There have
been several other stories of self-damage of these cult members. The
interest the US is taking in this cult suggests to me another vehicle of CIA
penetration and social systems engineering campaigns either looming or
actually in place.

SCMP Saturday, July 24, 1999

Respect right to peaceful assembly, says US

                AGENCIES

Washington yesterday criticised the crackdown and urged
the Government to respect rights of peaceful assembly.

"We will in all likelihood raise our concerns with the
appropriate Chinese officials through our embassy in
Beijing," National Security Council spokesman Mike
                Hammer said.

The US State Department said it was disturbed by the
                "heavy-handed tactics".

"We note the participants in the Falun Gong demonstrations
have been peaceful," State Department spokesman James
                Rubin said.

"We are disturbed by reports of the ban and of some
heavy-handed tactics being used to prevent Chinese people
from carrying out their protest rights."

Meanwhile, the New York-based Human Rights Watch
urged the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Mary
Robinson, to intervene at the highest levels.

"This ban affects thousands of ordinary Chinese citizens,"
                Washington director Mike Jendrzejczyk said.

"The Chinese people have a right to exercise their faiths
                peacefully."
