I seem to recall that sometime back in the 1970s, William F. Buckley (&amp;|
the National Review &amp;| someone
<br>of that ilk) held a conference on reasserting conservative thought/ideology.&nbsp;
The result was a rather
<br>specific program that included financing academic research and establishing
conservative research
<br>institutions.&nbsp; (Could this have been the origin of the American
Enteprise Institute?)&nbsp;&nbsp; Someone may have
<br>written a book on this - does that ring a bell with anyone?
