This isn't my point.  I'm suggesting that both Lucas and Butler wield
technique, and their ability to do so constitutes a large part of their
authority.  The hidden implication is that Butler's technique-to-content
ratio may not be much better than Lucas'.  This is separate from the
question of whose content we would prefer.
