Carrol,
     Sure.  Kosovo-Metohija is by far the poorest part
of the current Serbia (Vojvodina is the richest part).
The only things Kosmet has are those mines, a lot of
historical and religious monuments, and a bunch of
unruly and resentful and rebellious people.  Frankly,
the Serbs ought to say, "good riddance!"
