[PEN-L:4575] Marxist interpretations of Balkan war

Max:
>then I would like to know why you think your word on any subject

Max, you have what is known as a divided consciousness. Part of you--the
golf-playing suburbanite working for an inside-the-beltway
think-tank--tends to be pro-establishment, while the beard-wearing, sixties
radical occupies the same body. (That might explain the size 36 waist.) So
nothing you write on such topics is pure 100% propaganda. That's what makes
you so innaresting. Myself, I reside in that peculiar subculture which
holds as a principle that citizens of imperialist countries should oppose
armed interventions by their ruling class. This is what landed leaders of
the SWP a 5 year prison term in 1942. I have a nostalgia for that sort of
stance that nothing will change, in the same way that I love Bob Dylan's
"Blonde on Blonde."
