There's one dimension of the swing revival that you missed, Lou: if you
listen to the Brian Setzer (sp.?) orchestra, one of the most successful of
the neo-swing bands, you'll notice that there's an element of rockabilly.
That's because Setzer comes from the Stray Cats, a rockabilly group.

It's also not just NYC and LA: they had a swing band (the name of which
I've forgotten) at the execrable Super Bowl, along with Gloria Estephan,
KISS, and Stevie Wonder.
