Burn, with Marlon Brando. Wonderful film for your course.

Response:

I have two copies of Burn. In the early 70s when I was working for the
Manitoba government traveling all over rural areas to set up
capital-sharing cooperatives, I used to show Burn at meetings of
farmers. They loved it. I not only highly recommend it, but I recommend
reviewing it every year. Burn showed for three days in US theaters in
the late 60s and was banned from every theater as a nasty allegory of
Vietnam and imperialism/colonialism.

Sorry I have been so busy with Browning and Alberta Peigan/Blood/Siksika
issues I have not been responding. I wish all at Pen-l the best. Louis,
I meant to send in money for your subscription to Dark Night as a gift.
I just haven't had a moment to do it. I'll still send in money for your
sub.
