I am doing a survey of Indian nations and pueblos in New Mexico and Arizona
for a client of my nephews advertising business. I am amazed at the number
of them I am called (over 40) who do not own the gas (natural or propane),
water and sewer, electrical, or telecommunication systems within their
nations.
The Indian people are really missing the boat because once again the
whiteman can and does tell them what their plans for the future will be and
when they can realize their (the whitemans) dream.
This is obviously not new to you. But I have come to the realization that
it is time to put the bug in these councilman and the Indian people ear
that they are out of touch with reality and they best get with the program
!!!! If not then they will always be the resource of a colonialist and
mercantilist system.
Let you and me talk about how to undo this racist, colonialist empire our
white brothers have created for themselves. Among other things we can use
the Pikanii Sun to do it.
Yesterday I spoke to the Community Development Office at Santa Anna Pueblo
and I was told they want nothing to do with outside consultants, who are
now running all over the place trying to sell the Indian people on new
plans because of deregulation. They smell big money where the Indians have
yet to wake up to some basic facts regarding their own future.
