Ummm...
The pessimistic projections of deaths from AIDS over the next generation in
Africa and South Asia--places where the HIV-positive are not going to be
treated with multiple courses protease inhibitors--are horrifyingly large.
But, as Michael (almost) said, once AIDS becomes a disease of the African
poor it will tend to drop out of the first-world news flow...
